My Tenets
Guiding my clients in developing self-compassion and acceptance in the midst of their struggles and providing them with treatments that incorporate cultural humility, and Evidence- Based treatments have been essential components in their healing and recovery.
Self-compassion
I had planned to keep my struggles as a secret. By doing this, I was holding on too much pain. It was unbearable. In the words of Anais Nin, “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” The outcome from sharing my sufferings in therapy was the opposite of what I expected. I received support instead of rejection, compassion instead of hatred, and—above all— opening up gave me the opportunity to find my true self. I learned to develop self-compassion. You can learn to develop self-compassion. Healing is possible for you.
Acceptance
I would like to hold space for you and guide you in the process of opening UP In an environment of freedom, compassion, and acceptance.
